The Image Galleries . . .Most images are from scientific visualization models and experiments developed at The Center for Polymer Studies. The first set of images show that fractals and branching structures show up in all corners of nature, leading us to speculate that there may be underlying physical principles which guide their growth. CPS staff have developed computational models for such systems. Can you see similarities between them? These images are very old. The page was created probably in 1994. As of Summer 2008 (14 or so years later), many of these images will be recreated as high resolution images and be placed into a more modern gallery layout.
